Elisa Lassiter
Candidate for State House - District 40
Elisa Lassiter is the Democratic nominee for Georgia House District 40. A lifelong public servant, community advocate, and policy professional, Elisa is running to bring practical, people-centered leadership to the State House. With more than two decades of experience in state and local government and nonprofit organizations, Elisa has worked to connect families and communities with the resources they need to thrive.
An Atlanta native, Elisa earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University and a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. She is also a certified federal grants manager, gerontologist, Georgia K–12 special-education educator, and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner.
Elisa believes every Georgia family deserves access to quality public schools, affordable health care, safe and stable housing, and real economic opportunity. She is committed to protecting voting rights and ensuring that the voices of District 40 residents are heard under the Gold Dome.
Elisa’s campaign is grounded in equity, opportunity, and responsive representation. She is ready to put her experience to work for District 40 and fight for stronger communities across Paulding and Douglas counties.
